The evening meeting saw the return of the trees from the June Drawing Workshop. Some of the trees had undergone a complete transformation whilst others were only partly there as the changes required are too much for one session. Typical of the transformation is this pine.
October also saw out annual show. Despite it being one of the best ever with 140 trees on display as well as a Suiseki display, the extremely bad weather kept the public away. Colin Churchill (former NZBA President) came over to do the judging and said it was easy to pick 30 trees worthy of Merit Certificates – just difficult to narrow it down to ten!
On Saturday and Sunday Peter worked on a large collected hawthorn whilst Sandra created a landscape and Les worked on a couple of cascades.
