A busy month started with a great trip to the east coast to see Steve, Sam, Graham and Colin. Clear blue skies and a lovely warm sunny day. All the collections we saw were well worth the trip and the hospitality was superb.

May saw the official start of ‘The Shohin Project’. Members brought along their starter material and, after they were all photographed, the design and styling commenced. At the end of the evening all the trees were photographed again to help with the documentation of their progress.

Our workshops on the 4th Sunday of the month at Bunnings in Te Rapa are starting to get some attention from members of the public (as well as the great staff at Bunnings). This month saw a large pohutukawa turn up with it’s owner asking for advice.
