Nobuyuki Kajiwara came and did his usual two day workshop for club members. This is always a great weekend and our trees are showing definite signs of improvement now we are following his advice on training and styling.

In a change to our usual ‘Create a Camel’ this year Peter and Ann brought in 5 large trees dug up from their paddock. The challenge was in groups of three sketch a design for each of the five trees. This allowed the more experienced group members to go through the design process and discuss what to look for when choosing raw material and how to design a future bonsai. Some very interesting designs emerged after a fun evening.
