A quite night in April with only 10 members turning up to get messy with some clay and have ago at making some pots. Sandra brought along the clay, tools, boards and newspaper and gave a demonstration on several techniques for making small pots. Then it was over to us to use our imagination. Some very different shapes appeared which will be fired by Sandra and returned to us at the May meeting. Great fun.

April also was us visiting three bonsai collections in the Tauranga / Bay of Plenty area. These trips give us the opportunity to see both the trees and how they are displayed giving us ideas for our own collections. The trip ended up at Adriaan and Poppies where they gave us a talk and demonstration on Ficus and White Olives as well as letting us look at their collection. Our thanks to those who opened their collections for us.
