The July meeting started with the club AGM. Many topics were discussed, and the major club positions were voted on with Les remaining as club president.

The meeting then moved onto a discussion about Shohin from Lindsay.
Lindsay explained the ‘guidelines’ around the Shohin category: Bonsai that are less than 25cm in height, and can be held in the palm of one hand.
Tips were also given about methods of creating a Shohin size Bonsai including, Air Layering, growing from seed or cutting, and cutting down larger stock from either nursery or ground grown.

Unfortunately due to illness Marshall was unable to show her presentation on a Shohin exhibition she visited whilst in the USA recently.
