Melody lead a discussion on Rock and how they’re used with Bonsai. After discussing the finer points of rocks and why we use them, Melody then arranged a rock display and explained what the fundamentals were, so we could all try when we got home.

Everyone was also asked to bring their own rocks and give an explanation/description about them. Melody handed out several rocks to everyone and then went around each person asking them to guess the rocks origins based on its features.

A brief report on the Australian Bonsai Convention, held in Brisbane in May was also given by Les. Plenty of photos were shown and talked about. The club had four members who attended.
