A critique of members trees by Australian bonsai guru Tony Bebb

Create a root over rock bonsai. The club will provide the tree—you need to provide the rock. This will also be an ongoing project around photography and record keeping which will last a number of years(with a prize at the end of the project).

This meeting will be held outdoors at the home of one of our members. We will be discussing carving tools before going into a practical session.

Tips and tricks on how to keep your tree healthy and alive over the coming year. The display table will feature Trees in Trouble with trees that have suffered at the hands of the weather, pests, animals and humans and are in need of a little bit of help to keep them going.

A critique on larger trees to see why they are styled in a particular way, with alternatives from a panel of our more experienced members. Trees looked at will range from raw material through partially styled trees to 'finished' trees which are show ready.

Getting hold of large bonsai pots is difficult. At this meeting we will go through how to create your own pot from sheet materials. Contact the club for the address.
