DESCRIPTION:Topic: Pines – Part 1\nSpecies used in bonsai\, suitable styles and propagation \nOur next Hamilton Club meeting is this coming Sunday\, 12 August\, 2:PM at the St. Francis Church Hall at 92 Mansel Avenue\, Hamilton East. \nA reminder to please bring your own cup or mug for tea or coffee- your hot drink will taste better and help us do our bit to reduce landfill\ntrash. There will be styrofoam cups if you forget. \nThe Meeting’s topic is Part 1 on Pines\, led by Peter and Aaron. \nThis from Aaron: \nI’ll be giving a brief talk about starting Pine trees from seed\, and will have a hand-out covering this process. I also plan to do a quick demo. \nI have a bunch of Pine seeds\, so if anyone is wanting to join in and plant some seeds please bring along: \n\nA small pot\nSome sandy/small stone “soil”- ideally seed raising mix.\n\nPart 2 will be part of our December meeting. \nFor Show and Tell\, bring a pine or two. If you don’t have any pines bring something you like.
